Miami Beach, FLA., Ma– Lincoln Road, Miami Beach’s most iconic promenade, is proud to support the LGBT community as an official sponsor of Miami Beach Gay Pride 2017. Flip the Switch Lighting Ceremony at 8:20pm on Thursday, April 6, 2017. The bonus is that gay guys have many female friends and a good friend of mine has found many girlfriends thanks to his gay friends.Pride #OnLincoln: Lincoln Road Supports Miami Gay Pride with Events & Activations Unless you are a hunk yourself, you are in absolutely no danger. They have the most discriminating tastes. I have a simple rule, if you want gay friends with no danger of sexual tension, make friends with the best looking gay guys you can find. Don't make Miami like Uganda with Mr Poo Poo. It amazes me how ignorant some guys are, they feel that gay guys want to rape them.

While AIDS put the brakes on the promiscuous lifestyle in the 1980's, social conservatism puts the brakes on a free world. In the meantime, I hope people continue to have fun with it! More and more people are giving up on primitive, dogmatic views and opening their minds to new possibilities. So true! I hope to live to see the day when homosexuals can live like heterosexuals, and Pride will not even be necessary anymore. We do have some social conservatives in Miami and even in this forum but thank God they are a minority and their BS is not tolerated here. It's still way better than a small town in Northern rural Florida, though.įrom what I have seen your views seem to be fiscal conservative but not social conservative. Miami may be more open than other areas, but it is not at all a safe environment for someone to be out given that a person could legally lose their livelihood, and is also subject to much needless harassment by strangers.

You can tell from the few comments here, as well as all those nasty comments that were deleted, that people still feel unsafe being out or discussing something as simple as going to an outdoor event, even in the anonymity of posting online. We are still in the dark ages here with respect to freedom to discriminate against law-abiding, tax paying citizens. Keep in mind too though, a ton of people who are in the LGTBQ category are not "out" in Miami, because it is still legal to fire someone in the state of FL simply for being gay, regardless of how great their job performance is. A lot of people just like to get out and try something different, especially if it involves a street party! So some of those numbers are just people who want to have a good time - like the Calle Ocho festival is not all Cuban people, etc. And not everyone is local - Miami is still a vacation destination, as well as a center for people who live in nearby counties.

Not everyone who goes to a Pride festival is LGBTQ. I keep hearing otherwise.that much of this scene had migrated to Broward. 100,000+? I am shocked! I didn't know that Miami still had such a big GLBT community anymore.
